The Gunnedah Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organisation that welcomes all individuals and businesses in Gunnedah to come together and promote the local business community. The Chamber offers a unique forum for local businesses to maximise their potential and further develop commercial relationships and business opportunities.
Shenhua has been an active member of the Chamber since 2013 where they assisted in re-invigorating the organisation by becoming members of a Steering Committee and further assisting by filling the role as Chamber Secretariat and offering their facilities for meetings.
Shenhua’s support has continued over the years through attendance at Networking Meetings, Chamber functions, hosting of meetings and overseas delegates. This year at the Annual General Meeting two Shenhua staff have taken on roles within the Chamber.
Community Liaison Officer, Debbie Watson has been elected to the Gunnedah Shire Council’s Sister City and Friendship Committee as the Chamber representative, and Gerry McDonald, HR Manager, was elected to the Chamber Committee and Skills Program Working Committee.
Shenhua is committed to building on current relationships and developing new partnerships through its further involvement in the Chamber by volunteering for these positions on the Committee.
